Turf Maintenance
Turf maintenance is our principal service. We encourage all of our clients to take advantage of our turf services that include:
Weekly mowing
Spring & Fall Clean Up
Dethatching
Aerating
Monthly Edging
All services key to keeping your root systems strong and your turf weed-free. We take pride in our work and we train our foreman and crew members to go the extra mile for all the properties we service.
Irrigation
We offer our irrigation services for systems large and small. Our Spring visit will dial in all zones to make sure they are watering in an efficient manner. We repair any damage from the previous snow season. We offer monthly maintenance checks to ensure water is not being wasted and to make changes based on that month’s weather conditions. The season will end with your system being winterized sometime in the months of September-November. We offer all of these services for residential, commercial, and HOA clients.
Fertilization/Weed Control
A strong and healthy root system is a weed’s worst enemy. Our goal is to strengthen your turf’s root system so it can start to weed itself. To accomplish this, a solid 5 step Fertilizing and Weed Control program, at minimum, is required. This program consists of three applications of turf food and two applications of weed control. If your current program isn’t up to par, contact us today and our licensed applicators can turn your yard around in 6 months.

About Us
LawnSmart is owned by Michael & his wife. Like most owners in this industry, Michael began his career by mowing his neighbor’s yards (with his dad’s 21” push mower) before he could drive. By High School Michael purchased his first truck and commercial zero turn so that he could better serve his residential clients on the weekends. After graduating High School, Michael stepped into the industry full-time as he began to work for a handful of larger companies, many of which are still around today. Michael started his own company three separate times in the last 15 years, as well as holding a grounds maintenance supervisor position for a larger organization in the Twin Cities. Turf is Michael’s passion and it’s all he knows.
Michael and his family live in Dayton, MN and have three children who keep them quite busy. In their free time they enjoy spending time with family and traveling West to Montana.
